Water Recruitment Solutions recently visited the water art exhibition at Roppongi Midtown in Tokyo. The most notable water fact quoted there was that, if virtual water is included, your average Japanese citizen consumes 3000 liters of water a day every day. Ironically the chronically dry Australia is a major exporter of virtual water to Japan, a country that experiences very heavy rainfall. Virtual water is the water consumed indirectly through food and manufactured products, and is the form in which 90% of water is consumed.
